- Through regular meetings with Ministers, and serving on a variety of key working groups, we aim to help influence the direction of Scottish housing policy, particularly as it impacts on the social rented sector. We always seek to draw links between social housing and health, education and tackling child poverty
- We regularly raise issues relating to the nation’s privately owned and rented housing, which forms 75% of Scotland’s homes: focusing policy and legislation too narrowly on a quarter of Scotland’s housing is disproportionate and limits potential outcomes – for example in addressing energy efficiency (see later key policy area on this)
