Community-controlled housing associations and co-operatives (CCHAs) own around 85,000 houses in communities throughout the west of Scotland.
GWSF members have major purchasing power throughout the region, whether this relates to managing and investing in their housing stock or running their organisations.
The new GWSF Commercial Supporters Scheme is open to businesses that are looking to promote their services and products to our members.
We can offer a range of benefits and opportunities including:
- Your own space on the GWSF website where you can promote your business to our members
- The chance to take part in other promotional activities such as sponsorship, and FREE exhibiting at our annual conference.

Guardian People Solutions
Human Resources Consultancy
Guardian People Solutions (GPS) are a bespoke HR Consultancy offering a broad range of services to help our customers manage their people and their business. We offer a wide range of expertise from traditional HR project management to learning and development solutions. We also offer bespoke policy and procedures, management development, independent investigations, and advice on restructuring. GPS has housing and care experience going back over 20 or more years; Tony Carruthers is the former Head of HR at Blackwood Group.
Set up in 2015, Guardian have worked with a variety of housing and care organisations across Scotland, from major national providers to locally based housing associations. Guardian have worked with several Glasgow based RSLs to advise and support all manner of projects: major organisational change, complex independent investigations, senior staffing appointments and helping line managers better manage and develop their own teams. We also support the managers in an organisation to help them progress their own general people management skills. We work within existing organisational frameworks, where these exist, and don’t believe one size fits all. Where there is a lack of current policies and procedures, we will develop these to reflect the character and the desired approach of the organisation rather than impose a generic “off the shelf” suite of policies or procedures. We would be happy to put any prospective client in touch with some of the senior staff or committee members we have worked with for evidence of how we work to become effective partners.
